Love your public lands? Get Involved with us on Saturday, October 24 between 12 PM - 4 PM. Join REI for a fun day of meeting community groups who steward our local parks and recreational areas. Find volunteer opportunitiies, meet other people interested in local outdoor areas and start giving back to the nature nearest you. If you're inspired by the Ken Burns documentary about our national parks - REI can help you get involved in your local community.

Special presentation at 4 PM by National Parks Conservation Association: In complimenting the Burns' series, America's Best Idea, NPCA will talk about what next. What opportunities and challenges do our national parks face as they prepare to celebrate their CEntennial Anniversary in 2016; current efforts by NPCA - legislatively, locally, and by the Second Century Commission of the National Parksl and what you can do to protect the parks for future generations.

Complimentary light refreshments will be served. Enter to win a DVD copy of the Ken Burns film: The National Parks: America's Best Idea and The National Parks: America's Best Idea - An Illustrated History by Dayton Duncan and Ken Burns.
