Everyone, even if you have a GPS, needs to know the fundamentals of using a map and compass. An REI Camping Specialist will cover the basics such as understanding map symbols, orienting the map and compass, triangulation, declination, adjustment and reading terrain features.

All participants will receive an REI coupon and the chance to win prizes.

Class is limited to 25 people. Registration is required. Please register at www.rei.com/asheville. Sorry, but registration on Meetup.com will not reserve a seat for you in the class.
